IrishCentral is delighted to be able to give away ONE PAIR of tickets to see Cathy Davey live at St. Michan’s Church, in Dublin 1, as part of Ireland’s largest festival of trad, folk, and world music TradFest 2019. Davey will perform songs from her fifth and latest album in the historic northside chapel on Jan 25, at 8pm.
The unique setting of the evening is sure to capture the magic of Cathy’s music. Her performances will include pared-down versions of hit favorites ‘Sing For Your Supper’, ‘Little Red’ and ‘Moving’, with Cathy joined by two of her closest musical allies, Derren Dempsey on guitar and Stephen Kiernan on drums.
Never one to rest on her laurels, Cathy has been steadily writing and recording new music ever since being signed to Parlophone, back in 1999. ‘Tales of Silversleeve’, released in 2007 garnered her a Meteor Music Prize for Best Irish Female while 2010’s ‘The Nameless’ was a number one hit. Fans on the night will also be treated to brand new music, never heard before live, which makes this TradFest show exclusive and not to be missed!
