As the old McDonald ads used to say, “the first sign of spring”! It’s official it’s St. Patrick’s Day season and the McDonald’s Shamrock Shake is back.
Love it or hate it the green McDonald’s Shake is back for 2019. It’s the first sign of spring and we couldn’t be happier about it.

Fans of the McDonald’s St. Patrick’s Day special (well those who aren’t missing the McRib still) are all over social media taking selfies of themselves with their seasonal treat and making PSAs about the green ice-cream drink’s release.

This year McDonald's are going a high-tech directing its app users to use the Shamrock Finder but for the most part, the Shamrock Shake is available in the United States, Canada, and Ireland.
Of course, what many don’t know about the 800-calorie shake is that its inception was all to do with charity. In fact, the drink, which has been around since 1970, has been partially responsible for creating the network of Ronald McDonald House Charities, providing housing and other services to sick children and their families.
The shamrock shake will be available until March 24.
