This ingenious mash up of modern convenience food and staple Irish American favorite is delicious.
Made with crescent rolls, this braid is crammed full of corned beef, spinach, potatoes, and white cheese.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans of seamless dough sheets
- 1 pack / 2 cups of frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained)
- 2 large boiled potatoes (cooled)
- 6 ounces sliced corned beef
- 1 cup of grated cheese of choice
Method:
Preheat oven to 380F.
Place dough sheets on a baking sheet.
Pinch the edges together so it’s one big rectangle.
Top it with the corned beef, spinach, potato and cheese, down the center.
Use a knife or scissors to cut into the sheet along the side, into 1-inch strips that end just before the pile of delicious ingredients.
Commence braiding.
Brush the braid with a little egg wash and sprinkle with seeds of your choice (optional).
Once the dough is fully braided, brush on a little egg wash and sprinkle the top with caraway seeds.
Bake until the cheese is melted, about 25 minutes.
Slice and serve!
