Dublin's hottest new tourist attraction - a must-see for fans of Irish whiskey - is the Dublin Liberties Distillery.

Ireland’s most anticipated craft distillery opening happened in February when the Dublin Liberties Distillery finally opened its doors following two years of construction, with a promise to lead the industry’s new wave Irish whiskey movement.

Production of the Dublin Liberties Distillery’s whiskey portfolio – which includes award-winning and international brands, The Dubliner and The Dublin Liberties – has now commenced at the distillery on Mill Street in Dublin 8, under the supervision of renowned Master Distiller, Darryl McNally, who leads a team seeking to push the boundaries of Irish whiskey-making at the distillery.

Boasting an immersive visitor experience and cocktail bar, the Dublin Liberties Distillery offers visitors an experience unlike any other whiskey distillery in Ireland, as they offer an unrivaled, up-close view of modern Irish whiskey-making as it happens, with daily tours around the working distillery. After the tour, visitors can enjoy lunch or a coffee in the café or a whiskey cocktail in the bar upstairs.

The new distillery is minutes from the tourist center of Dublin in the heart of the Liberties district, the historic capital of Irish whiskey and an area with a colorful and fascinating history. The stories of the Liberties are brought to life in the whiskeys made by McNally and his team at the distillery, which is bringing a further boost to the Liberties and Dublin’s thriving tourism scene.
