The Catalina Restaurant, at Lough Erne was a big winner at the inaugural The Irish News Great Places to eat awards.
Almost 5,000 people cast votes in The Irish News awards which were held in association with FOOD NI and Henderson Foodservice. The five star Lough Erne was voted Greatest Place to Eat, while its acclaimed restaurant took the Best Hotel Restaurant accolade.
The Catalina Restaurant, helmed by Executive Head Chef Noel McMeel, was hailed for its creativity, passion, and use of local produce.

Speaking about the win Noel said, “Myself and the team love what we do: transforming our menu seasonally, using fresh, local ingredients and providing a personal experience. We are thrilled to receive this award for the work we do.”
The Catalina Restaurant is Northern Ireland’s first 3 AA Rosette hotel restaurant, and has previously been awarded Best Restaurant in Fermanagh and Best Chef in Fermanagh by Restaurants Association of Ireland.
