We officially have #BrunchGoals for 2019 - brunch at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House in Maryland.
Since opening its doors in 2018 as the first Guinness brewery in the US in 60 years, the Guinness Open Gate Barrel House & Brewery in Halethorpe, Maryland, has gone from strength to strength, debuting some delicious new brews and welcoming its 100,000th visitor in just three months.
Now, they’ve added the icing on the cake (or the head on the pint), with the announcement that the brewery’s on-site restaurant the 1817 is open for brunch.
Named after the year that Guinness first shipped its signature stout to America, 1817 now serves brunch from 11am - 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Some of the delicious-sounding menu items include an Irish Eggs Benedict made with Guinness brown bread, corned beef, poached eggs, Béarnaise, and a side of roasted fingerling potatoes; Boxty - a traditional Irish style of potato pancake - with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, crème fresh, caper, and shaved onion chives; corned beef hash with fingerling potatoes, roasted cipollini onions, poached eggs, and chives, and cinnamon rolls made with Bulleit Bourbon.
