Last year, Great Irish Beverages produced the second round of Dublin Cocktail Fest - a citywide celebration of cocktails made with Irish spirits. This year the group are taking the festival around the entire island of Ireland, to all 32 counties.
Irish Cocktail Fest is taking place from October 10 to 15 and any bar, restaurant, or hotel in Ireland and Northern Ireland can get involved. All they need is a love for supporting Irish drink products and to showcase in their venue, a cocktail made with one of the official Irish brands for the duration of the festival. Registration is free and can be accessed very easily via www.greatirishbeverages.com.
As soon as the festival begins, the public may vote for their favorite cocktail by using the #BestIrishCocktail hashtag on Twitter or via their Facebook page. The winning venue will receive a host of brilliant prizes and most importantly can lay claim that they have the finest Irish Cocktail in all of Ireland!
In addition to the nationwide promo, a select number of venues will be doing special offers on cocktails through the award winning food and drink online magazine website www.thetaste.ie. The festival will also have some very special pop up bars happening around the country and some other very tasty events.
Irish Cocktail Fest already have venues from all over the country signed up, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, Belfast, Derry, and many more.
The premium Irish spirits the Irish Cocktail Fest are working with this year come from every province in Ireland. They are also engaging with some classic and brand new Irish soft drinks to help stimulate more pairing of home grown brands in cocktails. They include Cidona, Club Orange, Club Lemon and Poacher's Tonic.
