Tonight in NYC a very special event is taking place for lovers of whisky - known in the Gaelic languages as Uisce beatha, water of life. Whisky Advocate’s WhiskyFest is taking place at the Marriott Marquee.
480 of the world’s best whiskies and other liquors will be available to taste in one room. Also on the agenda are seminars held by world-leading whisky experts.
Irish whiskies represented will include: Bushmills, Connemara, Knappogue Castle, Kilbeggan, Jameson, The Irishman, Green Spot, The Pogue’s, Powers, The Quiet Man, Redbreast, Slane, Stranahan’s, Teeling, Temple Bar, Tyrconnell, West Cork, and Yellow Spot.
The fest is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary and will offer attendees the opportunity to taste whiskies from around the world—including single malt and blended Scotch, Irish, bourbon, rye, Tennessee, Taiwanese, Japanese, Canadian and craft-distilled whiskies, plus high-end cognac, rum and tequila—and learn firsthand from the experts.
Not in NYC? WhiskyFest will be heading to Chicago in March and Washington, DC in April. More info here.
