Ribs are a perennial classic: always satisfying, full of flavor and very, very messy.
There are several spots that hold a special place in our heart because of the quality of the ribs they serve up. Read on to find out where we like to get ribs in Dublin and let us know if we missed your favorite spot.
Bison Bar & BBQ
11 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2
Bison Bar on Wellington Quay has a distinctly Southern American, low'n'slow vibe with great burgers, wings and more available on the menu daily. However, it's their ribs that keep us coming back for more. These St. Louis-style ribs are super meaty and so tender that they fall away from the bone.

Smokin' Bones
Dame Street, Eden Quay and Temple Bar
We've mentioned before that we think Smokin' Bones serves up some of the tastiest wings in Dublin, but have you tried their ribs? With two styles on offer – baby back and St. Louis-style – the ribs at Smokin' Bones are some of the best in Dublin.
Whitefriar Grill
16 Aungier Street, Dublin 2
Whitefriar Grill on Aungier Street offers some of the best ribs in Dublin, hands down. Full of flavor, you won't stop thinking about these ribs once you've tried them. We recommend trying out the Ribs'n'Rump deal, which combines an 8oz rump eye steak with sticky BBQ ribs, so you can try a little bit of everything that Whitefriar Grill has to offer.

My Meat Wagon
Smithfield Market Square
One of Dublin's most revered BBQ joints, My Meat Wagon serves up true Americana-style food in the heart of Smithfield. While the restaurant itself is pretty small, any wait you have to endure is well worth it for the quality of the ribs. These perfectly cooked, super juicy ribs are some of the best in Dublin and come in at a very reasonable price point.
Pitt Bros
South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2
Could we really have written a list about ribs in Dublin without mentioning Pitt Bros? Another Deep South-style barbecue, Pitt Bros Original Ribs and Bourbon Ribs are so moreish and meaty that you'll be surprised at how reasonably priced they are. Grab a pal and share them with some burnt end beans, mac bombs and beef dripping fries – you can thank us later.
