St. Patrick's Day is almost here, and if you plan on being anywhere near the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House in Baltimore on March 17, it's THE place to be. 

For those lucky enough to live in the Maryland area – or those enthusiastic enough to make the trip – the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore will be celebrating its first official St. Patrick’s Day in 2019 (after its grand opening in August of last year).

Complete with its own Guinness phone booth and St. Patrick's Day 1019 merchandise, the Open Gate Brewery will host ticketed celebrations in support of local charities with classic Guinness favorites and a special locally-brewed St. Patrick’s Day stout on tap.

Here's what they have going on: 

Their full St. Patrick's Day experience began March 7 for the 10-day countdown to St. Patrick's Day. 

The weekend of the holiday itself will be a ticketed event with an Irish beer tap take over, live music, limited edition merchandise, a holiday-themed food menu, the debut of the new Guinness Food Truck, and more. 

To visit the brewery on March 16 and 17, you must be 21+, have a valid ID, and purchase a ticket to one of the planned sessions: 

  • Saturday 3/16 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Saturday 3/16 - 5:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Sunday 3/17 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
  • Sunday 3/17 - 5:00pm – 10:00pm

Tickets purchased online cost $15, and include your first beer (a choice of Guinness Draught or Guinness Blonde), a commemorative button, and access to the brewery. Plus, you'll be contributing to a good cause: $5 of every ticket sold will be donated equally between their partners at the Maryland Foodbank, the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts, and the Oyster Recovery Partnership.

A very limited number of tickets will be available at the gate for $20 on the days of. 

On tap for the St. Patrick's Day festivities they’ll have all your Irish favorites like the iconic Guinness Draught Stout. They’ll also have legacy Irish beers like Harp, Smithwick’s, and Kilkenny, alongside some brewed-in Baltimore favorites coming straight from the brewery itself.

And how about live music? Here's the lineup:

  • Saturday 3/16 - 5:00pm – 10:00pm - 19th Street Band
  • Sunday 3/17 - 10:00am to 3:00pm - Andy Bopp & the Strung Out
