A new study has revealed the top eight "hot chocolate havens" in Ireland to help warm up your winter.
Served with a healthy dollop of whipped cream and plenty of marshmallows, nothing beats a piping cup of hot chocolate in the winter months. And now, with Christmas just around the corner, Betway has served up the best places to indulge in the winter warmer.
Researchers measured the popularity of each place with a unique index score generated by the number of hashtags each location has racked up on Instagram, as well as Google and Tripadvisor reviews. The lower the overall index score the higher the ranking.
According to the study, several spots across Dublin, Cork and Galway placed high within the top eight as the most popular locations to find a delicious cup of hot chocolate.

While it may be known for its coffee selection, Beanhive Coffee in Dublin came out on top as the sweetest escape for hot chocolate. As well as serving up a delicious Irish breakfast, the central find offers a cup of hot cocoa for as little as €3.40, which can even be served in an edible cup.
Cork Coffee Roasters on Bridge Street followed in second place, while Dublin’s Shoe Lane Coffee took the third spot. Once home to Dublin's cobblers, the shop is located right in the heart of the city and serves up yummy pastries to go alongside your hot chocolate.

Esquires, the Organic Coffee Co in Galway placed in joint fourth, alongside Dublin's Lemon Jelly Cafe. Meanwhile, Three Fools Coffee in Cork completed the top five. The hangout is not only known for its range of specialty coffee, but also brews up an indulgent hot chocolate.
