Well, one wedding venue has noticed the stress caused by planning these events and has taken matters into their own hands offering an all-inclusive style wedding package.
Yes, you heard that right, all-inclusive. Similar to an all-inclusive holiday where an expert sorts your food, drinks, and accommodation before you even get there, this venue is offering to do it all for you.
The Glenview Hotel in Wicklow is a four-star hotel situated on over 30 acres of woodland at the foot of the Sugar Loaf Mountain.
The hotel is a 30km drive outside of Dublin City and dates to 1914 when it originally opened as a cottage.
The hotel recently revamped its wedding function room and has introduced the concept of an all-inclusive wedding package for couples looking to tie the knot and what is included is impressive for those on a budget.
The package is a total of €10,500 for 80 guests, and on the hotel side that includes wine, teas & coffee, and biscuits for the arrival reception, before the main event which is, of course, the dinner, where guests will be fed a starter, a choice of two main courses, and one dessert and a cup of tea or coffee.
The package also includes an evening reception which consists of two choices of finger food and more tea and coffee- it wouldn't be an Irish wedding without that!
But it is the extras that make this package good value.
The hotel will ensure that all of your special memories are captured by photographer Andrew Miller who will arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony and leave at the dinner.
Mermaid Florist is also working with the hotel and has agreed to provide bouquets for a bridal party of three and the flowers for the ceremony are included in your price.
Suits for the groom are also included by Anne Gregory who has offered to supply three-piece suits for four people in this package.
A three-tier cake will be baked by Amazing Cakes and in whatever flavor the couple chooses.
Wise Guys is a four-piece band that will play live for two and a half hours, followed by a DJ who will take over until 1:30-2:00 am.
The offer is available all year round, the minimum number is 80. That's the only stipulation
Now that sounds like an offer that you can't refuse! If you are interested in learning more about wedding venues in Ireland go to the premier wedding website One Fab Day.
