Since it opened in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge has been one of the most famous and iconic landmarks in all of New York City. From Boss Tweed and his Tammany Hall political machine, which helped get the construction of the bridge rolling, to the thousands of Irish laborers who built it, the bridge is also a significant structure in New York's Irish history.
Today IrishCentral is going on a tour of the Brooklyn Bridge with urban discovery group Untapped Cities, learning the history of the bridge and its surprising secrets. You can tag along with us via a Facebook Live, starting around 10:30 am EST.
