Bowell was performing on December 8 at Sol y Sombra Tapas Bar & Restaurant as part of the restaurant’s annual Christmas fundraiser for the Kerry Hospice based in Tralee.
While the event featured an impressive cast of acts, Bowell’s rendition of the beloved Christmas tune truly got the audience in the festive spirit.
Bowell later told The Independent just how special “O, Holy Night” is to her and her family.
"It's my grandmother's favorite song, and I had performed it at my grandfather's funeral a year before,” Bowell said.
"My grandmother was actually in the audience when the video was taken, so in my mind, I was performing the song for her."
"The reaction to the video has been overwhelming. It's an amazing feeling that people have been getting such emotional responses from my singing."
