Dozens of events have been planned to take place over the next 21 weeks, which include a mix of free and low cost events. Some of the highlights include ‘This is How we Fly’, a series of musical concerts featuring an eclectic spread of artists and performers across genres, including fiddler Caoimhín Ó’Raghallaigh and jazz clarinetist Seán Mac Erlaine, the US premiere of Irish director Mikel Murfi’s (Ballyturk, The Walworth Farce) celebrated play ‘A Man in Woman’s Shoes’, a monthly residency with prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon including such Irish luminaries as Colm Tóibín and Kevin Barry, the Modern Irish Dance Theatre and a two night appearance by political activist, author, bar owner and comedienne Panti, Ireland’s preeminent drag queen.
