Good news for people who aren’t crazy about red-eye flights! Aer Lingus is launching a noon flight from New York’s JFK Airport to Dublin Airport for summer 2016.
With the addition of this service from New York, Aer Lingus will operate three daily flights from New York to Dublin airport next summer. The daily flight will depart New York JFK airport at 12:00 pm and arrive into Dublin airport at 11:40 pm local time. The return flight departs Dublin at 7:50 am, arriving into New York JFK at 10:20 am, on the same day. They will be available from June 9 through August 31, 2016 and are currently available for booking.
The return of this popular service is part of the on-going expansion of the Irish airline’s North American network, which see them operate 30 daily services across the Atlantic next summer. The airline has also seen an increase in transatlantic passenger numbers of 62 percent between 2010 to 2015
Aer Lingus Chief Commercial Officer Keith Butler said, “We are the only carrier to offer a same day return to New York from Ireland….The addition of the third daily flight has added an extra 30,000 seats to our summer 2016 program. This further strengthens our strong transatlantic offer and reinforces our commitment to investing in our transatlantic network and meeting our customer demands.”

In May 2015 Aer Lingus introduced a Dublin to Washington service. Due to the demand, the service has been extended to January 4. Flights will resume from March 14, 2016 to meet strong demand for travel over St Patrick’s Day, with four services per week. From May the service will be daily.
Aer Lingus recently announced three new transatlantic routes starting in summer 2016: Dublin – Hartford, CT, Los Angeles and Newark, NJ.
The Chicago route will also see a significant growth in capacity next summer with an extra weekly flight, bringing the total number of flights to 12 per week from Dublin.
Aer Lingus’ total long haul seat capacity will grow by more than 17 percent in 2016 which will see the airline operate 30 daily services across the Atlantic offering value to business and leisure customers in an increased number of markets across Europe and North America.
As part of this year’s re-launch of its business class service, Aer Lingus opened a new business lounge at John F. Kennedy Airport, exclusively available to Aer Lingus Business Class customers and Gold Circle members. The lounge offers an oasis of calm within a busy terminal, a business center with complimentary Wi-Fi and a pre-flight dining service offering the very best of modern Irish cuisine, to name but some of the benefits. In addition, a new arrivals lounge, named ‘Revival Lounge,’ opened at Dublin Airport affording Aer Lingus business guests arriving from North America the opportunity to freshen up before leaving the airport.
