Dublin has ranked number five in Condé Nast Traveler’s top ten ‘Friendliest Cities in the World’ for 2014. The Irish capital shares the position with Sydney, Australia.

The cities on both the friendliest and unfriendliest lists were chosen by the magazine’s readers, who called the Irish capital a “vibrant city” that’s a “bibliophile’s dream.”

Dublin is “green, lush, and very walkable” and “the kind of place you stop in for a drink at a local pub, only to end up chatting with the locals for the next five hours.”
