Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women, a city-wide celebration of women past and present, inspired by the Celtic goddess Brigit, will run from Jan 31 to Feb 4, 2025.
The fourth edition of Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women returns on Friday, January 31st with its largest four-day program to date. Over 80 thematic events will take place across the city, offering an exciting and diverse celebration of women’s contributions to culture, society, and history.
Founded in 2022 with the support of the Lord Mayor’s Office, steered and funded by Dublin City Council, Brigit: Dublin Celebrating Women honors the Celtic goddess Brigit, who embodies inspiration, healing, magic, smithcraft, wisdom, poetry, protection, fire and earth.
In a statement, the festival's organizers said "Beyond nature’s reawakening, it is a time for new ideas and growth. This celebration showcases women’s contributions, past and present, with a city-wide program spotlighting women’s stories, underscoring their immense impact on society and heralding the arrival of spring.
"The program features a huge range of fun and educational events taking place across our city in honor of the fierce, wise and creative Celtic Goddess Brigit."
Commenting on the 2025 festival Lord Mayor of Dublin Emma Blain said: "I am thrilled to launch the programme for Brigit 2025: Dublin City Celebrating Women.

To mark the event a specially designed Brigit Icon collection of t-shirts and sweatshirts by Jill & Gill have been launched.
