CraicFest is marking its 26th birthday in New York City with the Craic Session and Craic Film Festival.
CraicFest 26 kicks off on March 6 with a Craic Session at Swift Hibernian Lounge - you can join the waitlist by emailing [email protected].
The craic continues from March 7 - March 9 with film screenings and discussions at Village East Cinemas, followed by special after parties.
“Craicfest has another powerful lineup of films," Terence Mulligan, founder and director of the long-running festival, said ahead of this year's festival.
"Documentaries have always done well at our festival. We think this is our most diverse lineup we’ve ever had."
CraicFest, a non-profit, is presented by Con Edison, Screen Ireland, and Powers Whiskey with grant support from Culture Ireland and Ireland's Emigrant Support Programme.
Craic Film Festival 2024 schedule and tickets
March 7 - 7 pm: "One Night in Mill Street"
The opening night film for Craic Film Festival 2024, the award-winning documentary “One Night in Mill Street” shows how Irish boxer Steve Collins dethroned Chris Eubanks following weeks of lively engagements and press conferences between the two.
Starring Chris Eubank, Steve Collins, and Barry McGuigan.

March 8 - 7:30 pm: "Rebel Wife"
Directed by Williams Cole, “Rebel Wife” is the untold story of poet, organizer, and hero Mary Jane O’Donovan Rossa- a woman whose courage, planning, and determination helped free Ireland.

March 9 - 11:30 am: Kids Fest Fleadh
A program of the best of Irish short films, as well as Irish step dancing from McManus Irish Dance.

March 9 - 3 pm: "Graceless Age"
“Graceless Age” is an award-winning documentary that follows singer John Murry's journey from the cliffs of Co Clare to his native Mississippi. This beautiful documentary charts his journey from near death and a new zest for life and art.

March 9 - 5 pm: "Ó Bhéal"
"Ó Bhéal" features Irish-language performers Seán ‘Mory’ Ó Muirgheasa and Oisín Mac, along with producer and multi-instrumentalist Fehdah, and Limerick rapper Strange Boy. The film provides an in-depth look into the artists’ creative processes, their studio work, and their live performances, all contributing to the evolution of Irish music.
Directed by Ciara Nic Chormaic and produced by Jennifer Healy. Presented in black and white.
Special performance by Oisín Mac at the screening.

March 9 - 7:30 pm: Shorts Night
The closing night of CraicFest, Shorts Night features the best of short films by local Irish filmmakers: "Sicar," "Moratorium," "Famine," "Post Partum," "Drifting," "Worry World," "Tumbling Towards Home," "Irish Goodbye," and "Dear Imelda."
Ticket includes film and after party at Bar 13 with Powers Whiskey and Stella Artois.
