Imagine wandering through a space where every corner has a story. There’s a woven blanket from a Scottish artisan that tells the tale of the rugged Highlands, a piece of Irish pottery shaped by generations of hands, and handcrafted Welsh skincare that carries the scent of the wild coast.
At Milled + Made, you’ll find textiles, homewares, accessories, skincare, and a whole lot more – all while tasting authentic regional foods and drinks that bring the flavors of these places to life.
Irish exhibitors being featured at Milled + Made this weekend include Celtic Tweed, Clare O'Connor Luxury Design, Crafts of Ireland, Donegal Natural Soap Company, Holos Skincare, Jayne Gillan Designs, Jennifer Rothwell Design, JR Games, Kevin Lowery Art, Pure Oskar, and Rhyme Studios.
The event comes to Dobbs Ferry thanks to three Westchester locals – Ashley Rooney Hedkte, Bridget Bray, and Isabel Haley – who wanted to bring a bit of their own heritage, and a love for authentic craft, right to their community’s doorstep.
Partnering up with BBNY Group LLC, known for their unforgettable lifestyle events, and ANAM Craft Marketplace, a digital B2B platform connecting makers from across Ireland, Scotland, and Wales with North American retailers, the team has pulled together an experience that’s all about discovery and connection.
Together, they are crafting an immersive experience designed to attract local, regional, and international attendees. Featured artisans include crafters and designers from the Local Enterprise Offices of Ireland and clients of Scottish Development International.
Milled + Made promises something for everyone - from those with an appreciation for unique design, whiskey enthusiasts, to cultural explorers.
It’s more than just a market; Milled + Made invites you to explore the rich stories behind the crafts and get to know the talented artisans. Expect to meet hand-selected crafters and designers from the Local Enterprise Offices of Ireland and designers supported by Scottish Development International, who are flying in to share their work and bring a piece of their culture along.
For trade buyers, Milled + Made offers a comprehensive, full-circle experience with the option to attend in person or participate online via the ANAM Craft platform for those unable to join. The event also warmly invites the local Irish and Scottish diaspora in the community to explore, meet the talented makers behind the products, and purchase unique items that reflect the rich craftsmanship of Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.
The event will also include a Night Market on Saturday, October 26, offering opportunities for discovery and interaction, featuring whiskey and gin tastings from renowned Irish and Scottish distillers, along with artisanal food offerings to round out the experience
As day turns to evening on October 26, the Saturday Night Market will come alive from 6 PM – 9 PM, adding a bit of magic to the atmosphere. Picture sampling premium whiskeys and gins from renowned Irish and Scottish distillers, chatting with the distillers themselves, while enjoying artisanal food crafted with just as much love and skill as the products on display. It’s an evening to discover something new, celebrate old traditions, and maybe even find your next favourite tipple.
