Ancient Irish Celts believed that Ireland's trees held sacred properties that could reveal a great deal about one's self.
In launching IrishCentral's Irish Heritage Tree in 2020 we began to truly focus on the history of forestry in Ireland and the importance of native Irish trees. In the last four years the Irish Heritage Tree, which gives the public an opportunity to plant a tree in Ireland, quite literally planting their roots in Ireland.
Of course to our ancient ancestors native Irish trees had far more meaning, including their significance to the times of year and even what they mean for relationships.
