House prices in Dublin have jumped by 22 percent in the past year, according to Ireland’s Central Statistics Office (CSO). Though prices may be on the up we took a look at what bargains are still available for $300,000 (€220,000).

Given that on average house prices in Ireland rose by 10.6 percent in the past year the jump of 22 percent in Ireland’s capital seems strikingly high. In fact, the Irish Times reports that house prices are “now increasing at a faster rate than at any time since the height of the boom.”

However, putting the current price situation into perceptive they also point out that prices of residential property in Dublin are still 46.3 percent lower than they were at their highest, in Feb 2007.
