A 55-year-old Cork man was robbed of over a thousand dollars in cash – after he was tempted to a house with an offer of a threesome by two young women outside a chip shop.

Sentencing was adjourned when 22-year-old Mary Williamson pleaded guilty to two charges of robbery and demanding money with menaces at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.

Bantry resident Williamson entered the guilty plea after two separate incidents in her West Cork hometown.

The 55-year-old was offered the sex session by Williamson and a female accomplice who then robbed him at knife point when he accompanied them to a nearby house.

According to the Irish Examiner, policeman Eoin Concannon told Cork Circuit Criminal Court that Williamson and another woman lured the man to a house in the early hours of September 5th last year.

“They brought him upstairs. They offered him a threesome. He declined but they persisted and got his pants down a small bit. €920 was then taken out of his pocket,” said the police officer.

“He tried to get the money back. They got aggressive. They said they had male relatives in the house and they would get them to beat him up if he did not leave the house.”

The 55-year-old male victim was found in a distressed state in Bantry when he told officers that he had been robbed of a small amount of cash and a mobile phone by Williamson who also slashed him in the arm with a knife.

Officer Concannon added: “They invited him up to a bedroom upstairs. Then both women punched him and kicked him. One of the women came upstairs with a knife. He decided to escape from the house but he was stabbed in the arm.”

The two women were later apprehended and the cash stolen was returned to the victims.

The Judge, who heard that Williamson is battling alcohol addiction, agreed to grant the defendant time to continue her recovery and adjourned sentencing to November.
