With Christmas now just two weeks away, the national postage company for Ireland have urged those wishing to send their cards across the world to do so in the coming hours.
The warning comes as December 10 is the last day for postage to the United States for cards and letters to arrive just in time for Christmas.

Posting the warning on their website, An Post confirmed that December 10 is the latest postage date for standard letter post and express post to reach America ahead of December 25.
A spokesperson for An Post wrote on their website: "Millions of people all over the world are using the post to send Christmas letters and parcels to loved ones. While these are the last dates of posting, this year is like no other and we advise customers to post early."
The warning to Irish people wishing to send Christmas cards to friends and family in America comes as those trying to send festive memos to Canada were met with a notice stating that they are currently unable to do so.

A spokesperson for An Post said: "Canada Post Strike: Mail cannot currently be delivered to Canada. We will provide more updates as we receive them from Canada Post."
While time is running out for those posting across the Atlantic, those wishing to post to Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe have been issued with a ten-day warning for posting cards to relatives in these areas.
Northern Ireland and the UK
For those posting to Northern Ireland, standard letters, standard parcels, express post and registered post can be posted up until the close of business on December 19 to cross the border in time for the big day.
Meanwhile, those wishing to send cards and parcels to the UK (England, Scotland, and Wales) have until the close of business on December 18 to get their gifts and cards sent off.
Those posting to family and friends in Europe have until December 17 to post standard letters, registered post and express post, and until December 12 to get those parcels sent off to their loved ones on the mainland.
