Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly has denied he assaulted his ex-wife saying allegations against him are “100 percent false.”

Gawker.com reported that O’Reilly’s daughter Madeline testified in a child custody case involving her parents that O’Reilly dragged his wife Maureen down the stairs of their palatial Long Island residence by her neck.

O’Reilly, 65, and the much younger wife Maureen McPhilmy, 49, fought a bitter divorce and custody battle over their two kids Spencer and Madeline.

A Long Island judge ruled that O’Reilly’s wife should have custody of the children.

In a statement to Gawker O’Reilly said, “All allegations against me in these circumstances are 100% false.”

Gawker stated that “a court-appointed forensic examiner testified at a closed hearing that O’Reilly’s daughter claimed to have witnessed her father dragging McPhilmy down a staircase by her neck, apparently unaware that the daughter was watching.

“The precise date of the alleged incident is unclear, but appears to have occurred before the couple separated in 2010. The same source indicated that the daughter, who is 16 years old, told the forensic examiner about the incident within the past year.”

It was previously alleged that McPhilmy had started a relationship with a Nassau County police officer but that O’Reilly tried to have the cop investigated and succeeded because he had deep links with the Nassau County PD.

It has also been alleged that O’Reilly sought to have his wife excommunicated from the Catholic Church because she continued to receive communion despite being divorced and carrying on an affair.

O’Reilly has always spoken out strongly on family values on his Fox show and has sharply criticized dysfunctional black families,“The reason there is so much violence and chaos in the black precincts is the disintegration of the African-American family,” he has said.
