Netwatch USA, a remote visual monitoring company, co-founder and Chief Technical Officer Niall Kelly was recently recognized by the Boston Business Journal and Mass High Tech as a 2012 CIO of the Year. The award, reviewed and selected by a team of editors, is given to those who exemplify innovation in the use of information technology and in IT strategy. Winners of the prestigious award were honored at a ceremony in downtown Boston earlier last week.
The award helps to solidify Netwatch’s emergence as a leader in the security space since their entry into to the U.S. market in February of 2012. Kelly, who also drives the research and development department of Netwatch, has lead Netwatch to receive several accolades in Ireland including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Deloitte Fast 50 Technology Award. This is their first U.S. award since launching their Boston headquarters earlier this year.
“Kelly's fearless determination and dedication to our technology ensures that our customers receive the highest possible service available,” says David Walsh, co-founder and CEO. “We’re honored to see his hard work to keep Netwatch’s strategic alignment focused on customer service and innovation reflected and championed by such a well-respected publication at such an early stage of company’s U.S. life.”
“Since launching our U.S headquarters in Boston in February, we’ve looked to the Boston Business Journal and Mass High Tech as the gauge by which business and technology in this great city are measured,” says Kelly. “To be included among such other worthy CIOs at such high standards is an honor and confirmation that Boston was the right choice as a city in which we can grow and thrive.”
