Over 250 members from Emerald Societies across the United States took part in the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies (NCLEES) Fall Meeting which took place between September 26 through 28.
The NCLEES was founded in 1995 as a means to unite law enforcement members from all Emerald Societies throughout the states and to preserve the Irish culture. In recent years, this annual conference has been held in the cities of San Francisco, New York, Baltimore, and this was the first time since 1998, that the event took place in Boston.
The conference was co-hosted by the Emerald Society of the Boston Police Department (ESBPD) and Irish American Police Officers Association of Massachusetts (IAPOA).
