Laura Hamilton of Boston (pictured above) is the first of the Irish Echo's young leaders to be singled out for a special award at the forthcoming Irish 40 Under 40 Awards in New York.
A remarkable tech trailblazer, Laura will join 39 other high-achieving Irish Americans who are making a name for themselves on the national stage. The 11th annual Irish 40 Under 40 boasts honorees from California to Connecticut and from Buffalo to the Bronx.
Representing a new generation of inspirational young guns transforming Irish America, our honorees come from all fields of endeavor including education, the law, finance, politics, sport, the arts and small business.
The 40 will gather at Rosie O'Grady's in Manhattan on Friday 23 February for a gala dinner as guests of the Irish Echo. A small number of tickets remain for what is certain to be another sold-out event.
Online voting for our People's Choice honoree is continuing and you can select your pick of the bunch here and see a full list of our 40 young leaders.
Among this year's honorees are AOH dynamo James McGlashin, musician and attorney Maeve Flangan, Franciscan Daughter of Mary nun Kathleen Dougherty of Covington, KY, and banker Bernard Mooney of the Irish Network Houston.
