The annual Irish Arts Center Show Your Love party is always timed for February to coincide with Valentine's Day. It's when the IAC, New York's premiere venue for Irish arts and culture, pays tribute to their 750+ strong family of members.
The party has been thrown since 2011, honoring individuals or couples that go above and beyond in their support (both financially and in terms of showing up) for Irish arts and culture.
Previous honorees have included Rachel Conlan, Kelly E. Jones, Patrick Tully, Declan and Mandy Bracken, Rob McGooey, Colm Clancy and Kathleen Chopin, Kevin Donaghy, Marybeth Glaccum, Jason O'Brien.
This year's honorees are:
DC-Based Ireland Funds Young Leader Kevin J. Murphy who has been a committed supporter of Irish Arts Center for the past 5 years.
Actor John Duddy and his wife, actress Grainne, from Derry, big supporters of the Center.
Irish attorney Ruth O'Farrell and her wife Olena Ripnick-O'Farrell (also a lawyer, American).
All of the Show Your Love honorees are young (under 45) - the next generation of Irish and Irish Americans who will continue the great tradition of giving and help keep Irish arts and culture alive, and relevant, in New York.
This year's host committee of peers is:
