UFC officials confirmed this week that Irish fighter Conor McGregor will be headlining their next UFC fight in Boston when it returns to the TD Garden on Jan. 18.
Dublin native McGregor is set to take on top 1o featherweight Dennis Siver in a five-round main event battle that will air live on Fox Sports 1.
McGregor, first hit the American UFC scene in August 2013 when he defeated Max Holloway at TD Garden. Since then, McGregor has left his mark on both the UFC stage and with fans. The featherweight has become a star attraction on both sides of the Atlantic thanks in part to his UFC record perfect 4-0 and his outlandish personality out of it.
A victory for the 24-year-old in Boston will likely secure him a title shot between this year's UFC 179 Championship winner.
