Anxious Irish setter Jubilee was left at a shelter after a year with her owner because she wouldn’t leave his side.
A beautiful white and black blue heeler and Irish setter cross became a viral sensation recently when her owner decided he could no longer care for her and dropped her off at a shelter because “she always wants to be by my side.”
Dropping the rescue dog Jubilee at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, Texas, the middle-aged man was overheard by a stranger also sitting in the waiting room explaining how he could not longer care for her because she would not leave his side, as well as some other problems like eating his sofa and chewing his cushions.
Appalled by the man’s first reasoning for abandoning his one-year-old pet, however, the stranger post a photo of young Jubilee online, amazed that somebody would not want an affectionate dog.

Looking confused and frightened once her owner left, the post of Jubilee was quickly shared and love for the affectionate pooch spread like wildfire.
While it may seem initially heartless that the man would not want to keep an animal that would want to spend as much time with as him as possible, his decision to drop her off at the shelter because he could not longer handle her need for closeness was definitely the right one, allowing Jubilee to be re-homed with a family who have more time to dedicate to supporting her.
In total, 35,000 people read and shared the post and within 24 hours, Jubilee had plenty of loving families more than willing to take in the rescue dog.
She has now been taken in by a woman named Samantha who set up a Jubilee the Rescue Dog Facebook account, with so many adorable pictures of the young pup in her new home that it already has over 6,000 likes.

“It touched me. She loved so much,” Samantha told Huffington Post. “I knew I was supposed to have her.”
Now living with Samantha, her mother, and teenage son, Jubilee has even acquired a new doggie sibling named Abby.
The family is now planning to work with a trainer to help Jubilee with her anxiety and are making every effort to ensure she feels as comfortable as possible in her new gaff.
And the great news doesn’t end there! The other families looking to adopt Jubilee, who didn’t get in there as quick as Samantha, also took home other dogs from the shelter that very day, giving three precious pups the new homes they deserve in one kind swoop.
