St. Brendan’s will hold their Annual golf tournament on August 23 at the George Wright golf course in Hyde Park.
Founded in 2008, St Brendan's Boston is a Gaelic Athletics Club which aims to bring Gaelic games to the youth of Dorchester, Boston, Quincy, Milton, Braintree and Weymouth. Currently, there is over 100 members involved with the club and teams ages range from the under 6's right up to under 14's. The club play their home games at the Pope John Paul Park in the Neponset area of Boston and their program runs year round with an indoor program from January until March and outdoors from April onwards.
The club competes in the North East Minor Board division against teams from Hartford, CT, Portland, ME, Springfield, Canton, and Milton, MA. In addition to their local games throughout the year, St. Brendan's have also traveled to Philadelphia in 2013 and New York this past July to participate in the Continental Youth Championship (CYC). The CYC is the largest Gaelic games tournament outside of Ireland with over 2000 children from all over the US and Canada.St Brendan's Boston wishes to invite all golfers to come have a great time on August 23 at the George Wright golf course, Hyde Park . Entry Fee is $125 per golfer or a team of four:$500. Reception will follow at Twelve Ben's ( 315 Adams Street, Dorchester).
