With the added ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising, March 2016 and St. Patrick’s Day 2016 were jam-packed with incredible celebrations and parades as Irish groups all across America held special events to honor the Rising's centenary year.
But we think this year we can do even better. March 2017 / St. Patrick’s Day 2017 will soon be upon us and with parade/celebration organizers already having spent weeks and months preparing, it’s definitely not too early for you to start planning how you’ll spend St. Patrick’s Day.

Alabama
Birmingham - Saturday, March 11, 2017
The 33rd St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Five Points, Birmingham, AL will be led by the Ian Sturrock Memorial Pipe Band on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Irish food and drink specials will be offered up all day from 11 am to 11 pm.

The 40th Annual Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick's Day Parade, presented by the Irish Society of North Alabama, will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Downtown Huntsville. Celebrations will kick off at 11:30 am.

Phoenix - Saturday, March 11, 2017
The Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire will kick off at 10 am on March 11, 2017. This year's theme is "Salute to Irish Music and Dance."
The quaintly titled Faire starts at 10 am at Hance Park West side of Central at the Irish Cultural Center, 1106 N Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85004.
Admission $10.00 Adults (13 & older). Kids 12 & under FREE. Senior (55 & over) and Military $8.00.

Little Rock - Saturday, March 11
The 18th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, beginning at 1:00 PM. The parade starts at the corner of Third & Rock Streets in front of Dugan’s Pub in downtown Little Rock and ends at Sixth & Main Streets in North Little Rock.

Hot Springs - Friday, March 17
The 14th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, will kick off after work at 6.30pm on March 17. This year it will welcome its first ever toastmaster general Tim Herlihy, the Tullamore DEW US Ambassador, as well the world-renowned Clydesdale horses.
Uncle Kracker will also be putting on a performance at the parade end!

San Francisco - Saturday, March 11, 2017
The West Coast’s largest Irish event celebrating Irish history and culture, the 166th Annual San Francisco St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, will take place on Saturday, March 11 at 11.30 am. The Parade will start at the corner of Market and Second Streets where over a hundred colorful floats, Irish dance troupes, and marching bands will wind their way to Civic Center Plaza.
This year’s theme is: Passing on Traditions.

Now in its 55th year, the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2017 will step off at 9.30am led by Queen Colleen 2017 Laura Farley.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year at the annual community Parade and Irish Party in historic Downtown Fort Collins. The Lucky Joe's St. Patrick’s Day Parade, on Saturday, March 11 features creative floats, performers, and family fun for all! Join afterward for the Old Town Irish Party hosted by Wilbur's Total Beverage in Old Town Square with live music and a “green beer garden.”

Hartford - Saturday, March 11, 2017
The 46th Annual Greater Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade will be Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11.00 am. The parade begins at Capitol Avenue by the State Capitol, takes a left on Main Street, a left on Asylum, a left on Ford Street, and then ends by the Memorial Arch.

Delray Beach - March 10 and March 11
The Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade is an annual hometown tradition that began in 1968 with an Irish local pub owner by the name of Maury Power, who took a stroll down Atlantic Avenue with his Shillelagh and a green pig and declared it, “My own parade” (or so they say).
This year the festival will kick off on March 10 at 5 pm while the parade itself steps off on March 11 at noon.

The Southside parade will take place on March 12 at noon. Just before this, at 11 am, will be the mile-long fun run.

While the weekend begins Thursday evening at 5 pm with the greening of the river, the 37th annual parade will kick off at 11.30am on March 17. The following day the 26th Annual Shamrock Run & Walk "Darn Near 4 miler” and the Lucky 7 seven-mile timed run will have you working off all that Guinness.

The 39th annual Hibernia St. Patrick’s Day Parade and 5k run will take place this year in Downtown Biloxi on March 11.
The parade featuring bands, military units, flag bearers, bagpipers, leprechauns, a horse-drawn carriage with the parade's Grand Marshal and Colleen, and colorful floats tossing Irish trinkets, green beads, and doubloons.

The Wearin' 'O the Green Festival is held on City Plaza at the south end of Fayetteville Street in downtown, along with some of the neighboring streets, and starts off as soon as the parade is over.

The 46th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Washington, D.C. will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
The 2017 Theme is “Irish in Public Service’ as is embodied by their 2017 honorees such as Grand Marshal Cody Keenan, Former Director of Speechwriting for the White House.
On March 11, Shamrock Fest will take over RFK stadium from 11 am until 5 pm where Dropkick Murphys and House of Pain will hype up the crowds for the following day.
