The Irish community of greater Boston was shocked by the tragic death of David O'Callaghan of Holbrook, who died in a single car crash in Brockton at around 2am on Saturday, January 17th. Two passengers, 23 and 26 year-old males, were med-flight to Boston hospitals with serious injuries.
Circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, but it is believed that the car may have skidded after hitting an icy patch on the road causing the car to hit a utility pole.
David is the only son of Helen Tully from Glanamaddy, Co. Galway, and Timmy O'Callaghan. He is survived by his son, Kaiden, aged 4.
David was the nephew of Padraig and Bernadette Tully and family of Weymouth, John Tully, Michael Tully and family, Birmingham, England, Oliver Tully and family, Galway, Ann Tully McGee and family, Co. Antrim and Mary Tully Cronin and family, Co. Laois. David will be sadly missed by the extended O’Callaghan Family with ties to Tuam, Co. Galway.
