Conor McGregor has called a journalist who reported on his civil trial "smelly" in a freshly deleted post on X.
Last month, Nikita Hand won her claim against the MMA fighter for damages in a case at the High Court in Dublin.
Ms. Hand sought damages for assault and rape against McGregor and his friend James Lawrence. A jury found she had been assaulted by Mr. McGregor but not by Mr Lawrence. The jury awarded damages of €248,603 against Mr. McGregor.
In the days following the civil verdict, McGregor posted a string of bizarre rants on social media platform X, slamming a "kangaroo court" and labeling one court reporter as "smelly."
Paul Healy of the Irish Daily Star had reported accurately and fairly throughout the lengthy trial. However, McGregor seemingly took issue with the crime correspondent after being found liable.
On Wednesday, McGregor took to social media to again insult the journalist writing: "@Healyhack, you’re welcome smelly. Paul smelly Healy. Smelly little pr**k have a wash."
Responding to the now-deleted post, the Star journalist wrote: "Had a good professional encounter with McGregor’s spokesperson who kindly provided comment yesterday.
"Woke up this morning to Conor calling me smelly again.
"Deleted but I just caught it. @thenotoriousmma
"How about an interview and you can say it to my face?"

Mr. Healy’s tweet comes after he reported on comments he had received from a McGregor spokesperson on Tuesday who said that a previously deleted rant about the court was made out of "frustration with the verdict."
Conor "has made a few posts regarding his frustration and disappointment with the verdict, given the preponderance of evidence, including the CCTV. He respects the role of the jury but disagrees with their decision. He maintains the relationship was consensual and will file an appeal shortly" the spokesperson told Mr. Healy.

"Never settle"
Earlier this week, McGregor took to social media to advise an American rapper accused of rape to "Never settle with blackmailers. EVER."
He made the comments on an Instagram story about a woman in the US who claims she was subjected to a sex attack by hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.
It came less than a week after a High Court judge warned McGregor could be fined for contempt of court for his social media rants that followed Nikita Hand’s award of almost €250,000 in damages against the MMA fighter.
McGregor yesterday posted a screenshot of a discussion about a case where a woman has accused Jay Z, along with Sean 'Diddy’ Combs, of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000.
Minutes after posting the comment, McGregor deleted it.
