Irish UFC fight Conor McGregor, who has aspirations to become the next President of Ireland, was filmed with MAGA figure Valentina Gomez in Washington, DC this month.
"We started from the bottom, & now the whole world watches how we fight," Colombian-born Gomez said in a post on X on January 21.
"Ireland needs @TheNotoriousMMA [McGregor] & America needs me," she added.
The post featured a clip of McGregor, who was in the US for the inauguration of President Donald Trump, looking friendly with Gomez, hugging her, putting his arm around her shoulder, and leaning in for a kiss on the cheek.
McGregor, who lost a civil rape case in Dublin in November, later reposted the clip from Gomez, who has called for the public execution of rapists.

Colombian-born Gomez announced in December that she is running for Congress in Texas. This was about four months after she finished in sixth place of eight candidates in the Republican primary for Missouri Secretary of State.
The MAGA figure, who had her Instagram account disabled for a period "due to frequent and repeated violations of Meta’s hate speech policies," sells merchandise that reads "Don't be weak and gay."
Gomez has been supporting McGregor and his apparent bid to become the next President of Ireland for a number of months.
In September, responding to a post asking if McGregor should be the next President of Ireland, Gomez wrote on X: "Absolutely."
She added: "F--k those ugly politicians in Ireland that don’t even brush their teeth."

Gomez's post came just a few hours after McGregor claimed he is the "only logical choice" to become the next President of Ireland.

Just over a week later, Gomez replied to one of McGregor's posts, saying: "Conor, Ireland needs you as President."
Bizarrely, she added: "These trans fat ugly politicians are destroying our nations."

Dublin native McGregor has been teasing a presidential run in Ireland since at least December 2023. To be eligible to run for President of Ireland, a candidate must be nominated by at least 20 members of the Oireachtas or at least four local authorities. It seems unlikely that McGregor would be able to win the required nominations to run.

On Monday, Gomez took to X to again support McGregor and to respond to what she described as a "hit piece" that was published on Extra.ie earlier in the day.
"By your retweets I see you protect all the pedophiles that hide under the rainbow flag," Gomez, who has previously claimed that "the lgbtq is a terrorist organization," said in a post on X to Debbie McCann, who penned the Extra.ie article.
"Conor McGregor is the only hope for Ireland," Gomez continued.
"He’s been the best fighter in the world, and I’m very confident he will be the best President Ireland has ever seen.
"All those women making baseless accusations about Conor should be tried in criminal court and jailed for making false accusations if found guilty.
"When men like President Trump, Pete Hegseth, & Conor McGregor become extremely successful, women appear out of the blue and accuse them of the most heinous crimes without any actual evidence.
"Conor McGregor will be The Greatest President of Ireland in History. He will Make Ireland Irish Again and Conor has my full endorsement."
