Gardaí said early on Friday, January 5 that they charged the third man arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a fatal assault that occurred at a premises on Main Street, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 on Sunday, December 24.
David Amah, 18, of Donabate, Co Dublin, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Friday morning, charged with the murder of 26-year-old Tristan Sherry.
Sergeant Emma Ryan told the court on Friday that Amah was charged with Sherry's murder in Finglas Garda Station shortly after 6 pm on Thursday. She said the accused made no reply when charged.
Judge Máire Kenneally noted that the question of bail does not arise at this time as only the High Court can grant bail in murder cases.
Judge Kenneally granted free legal aid and remanded Amah in custody until January 9, when he will appear before Cloverhill District Court.
Wayne Deegan, of Linnetsfield Avenue, Phibblestown in Dublin, also appeared before the court on Friday morning charged with assault causing harm, violent disorder, and producing a knife in connection to the attack that occurred at Browne's Steakhouse on Christmas Eve.
Detective Sergeant Sean Kelly told the court that Deegan was charged shortly after midnight on Friday and said the accused made no reply when charged. He has been granted free legal aid and has been remanded in custody until January 9, when he will also appear before Cloverhill District Court.
Gardaí say that at approximately 8 pm on Sunday, December 24, two gunmen entered a premises on Main Street in Blanchardstown, Dublin and a number of shots were fired.
Gardaí believe that Sherry opened fire on a group of people in the restaurant shortly after 8 pm, wounding 48-year-old Jason Hennessy Sr., who died in hospital on Thursday.
Gardaí have launched a separate murder investigation into Hennessy's death and believe that a second gunman was involved in the shooting.
Three arrests have been made in relation to the incident so far and two men have been charged - Amah and Michael Andrecut, 22, who was also charged with Sherry's murder.
