Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s crazed St. Patrick’s Day schedule included 26 hours on a government jet costing $127,000.
Kenny flew in comfort to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and of course Washington DC.
Another $31,000 was used in the transportation of Justice Minister Alan Shatter to Israel and Lebanon earlier on St. Patrick’s Day.
The Irish Independent reported that in response, Sinn Fein TD Sandra McClellan found the cost of other ministerial flights would have been just under $120,000 for Kenny.
Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern spent a reported $732,000 in 2007.
