Patrick Gannon (56) was last seen in a hostel in Long Island just after Thanksgiving. The Irish government is urging the public to come forward with information about the missing Irishman.
The Irish government has issued an urgent plea for information regarding the safety and whereabouts of an Irishman named Patrick Gannon (56) who went missing on Long Island, on Nov 26, shortly after Thanksgiving. He has not been heard from since.
The Department of Foreign Affairs was contacted by the Gannon family who has not heard from Pat since that November night. In a statement, the Irish Consulate in New York stated:
“Our Consular section in Dublin have been contacted by the family of Patrick (Pat) Gannon who is missing in NY and they are asking for our help. Grateful to know if anyone hears anything regarding his whereabouts or if Pat makes contact with any of the centers.
"His date of birth is 29-09-1962 and he does go by Pat or Patrick Gannon. He was last seen on the 26th November 2018 in a hostel/shelter in the Port Jefferson, Long Island area."
The family stated that it is “extremely out of character for Patrick not to contact his family in Ireland as he is in touch regularly through phone calls and Facebook messenger. He also maintains contact with his ex-partner in Ireland and this has ceased since the last time he was seen as well.”
Patrick was also a bartender and worked in Irish bars in Manhattan in the 1990s.
Anyone with information should contact the Irish Consulate at 212 319 2555 or Emerald Isle Immigration Center at 718 478 5502.
