A famous faith healer from Ireland is the subject of a major documentary to be shown on the History Channel.
Danny Gallagher, from Maghera, County Derry, has traveled around Ireland, Britain and the world curing people of various ailments. Gallagher is the seventh son of a seventh son, which in Celtic lore, means he has the special power of healing.
A Canadian crew from the History channel flew to Ireland and followed Gallagher for four days as he traveled the country healing people.
"It really surprised me that a big channel like that got in touch with me," Gallagher told the Mid-Ulster Mail. "I don't know how they found me."
"They rigged the car with cameras and traveled around Ireland with me to my healing centers. One day, they filmed from 8:30 in the morning to 9 o'clock at night. They filmed me with clients and they filmed every move I made."
Gallagher currently holds healing clinics in Letterkenny and Naas, Co. Kildare. He has made headlines worldwide for his purported cures of ailments such as arthritis, blindness and paralysis.
The hour-long "Miracles Uncovered" program will be broadcast on the History Channel in several different languages sometime next year.
