Ireland will become one of the first-ever teams to play an international cricket match in New York City when they take on India at the upcoming men's T20 World Cup in the summer.
Ireland will take on cricket powerhouse India at Eisenhower Park - 30 miles east of Manhattan in their tournament opener on June 5.
The Irish side has been drawn in a group of five teams, including Pakistan, Canada, and the USA, who are co-hosting the tournament alongside the West Indies.
Ireland will play their first two games in New York, taking on Canada in Eisenhower Park on June 7, before taking on the USA in Lauderhill, Florida, on June 14. They finish their group stage campaign against a heavily fancied Pakistan team in Lauderhill on June 16.
The top two will progress to the knockout stages, with India and Pakistan - two of the pre-tournament favorites - expected to progress from Ireland's group.
The USA will open the tournament on June 1 when they take on neighbors Canada in Dallas. It marks the first time that the USA will host Cricket World Cup matches.
Co-host USA will provide three venues for the upcoming tournament, while six West Indies venues will be used. England are set to play all of their group games in the Caribbean this summer.
Ireland qualified for the previous T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022, qualifying from the initial group stages before memorably beating eventual champions England in the Super 12s.
Minister for Sport Catherine Martin described the upcoming World Cup as "exciting", adding that there will be huge anticipation in cricket grounds across the country.
"Exciting times for Irish cricket as we're set to play one of the first-ever internationals in NYC," Martin said on Twitter.
"Drawn with hosts USA, Canada and 2 cricket heavyweights India and Pakistan. There will be huge anticipation in cricket clubs across Ireland for these clashes."
