The Harris-Walz campaign is hosting a National Organizing Call for Irish Americans on Tuesday, August 13 at 8 pm EST.

You can register for the call, supported by Irish Americans for Harris-Walz, online here via Democrats.org.

The invite encourages supporters to “take part in an evening of celebration of the achievements and contributions of Irish Americans to our nation, as we look ahead to how the Irish American community will play a major role in electing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”

Thousands of Irish Americans from across the US and further afield are expected to join the organizing call in a show of support for Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.

The call is set to feature campaign leadership, elected officials, and celebrity guests who will all stress the critical importance of the Irish American community’s involvement, in what the Harris-Walz campaign sees as a key fixture of their winning coalitions.

The list of speakers, ranging from Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey, to Congressman Brendan Boyle, to "House of Cards" star Michael Kelly, is set to highlight the broad and diverse range of support that the Vice President Harris has gained a mere three weeks after launching her campaign.

The list of speakers on the call is in formation, but so far, the following have been confirmed:

The organizing call is also being supported across the Atlantic by the Irish branch of Democrats Abroad.

The group said in a statement on Monday: "Irish American communities have been strong supporters of President Biden in 2020 and in the midterms in 2022, and their votes are critical for victory in this close race, especially in the battleground states.

"This call is meant to celebrate the Irish American spirit and the connections that bring us together as a community."

Patti Shields, Chairperson of Democrats Abroad, will be attending Tuesday's call which will kick off at 1 am Irish time on Wednesday and is looking forward to seeing the lineup of speakers motivate voters on both sides of the Atlantic, even in the early morning hours.

"I was fortunate enough to participate in a few of the early Harris Walz organizing calls for women, and the energy on these calls has been absolutely electric!" Shields said on Monday.

"To have a call to rally and celebrate the importance of the Irish American voting block and mobilize our voters is very meaningful.

"We continue to focus on the fact that we can deliver an estimated 25,000-35,000 votes from Irish Americans in Ireland, and we support contacting our friends and relatives back home to support Democrats up and down the ballot across the country.

"The stakes are very high, and every vote will absolutely count on the day."

Democrats Abroad notes that eligible voters are reminded to sign up to register to vote and request their ballot at VoteFromAbroad.org. Voter assistance is also provided at that link if you have any questions about eligibility or how to request your ballot.

The group also issued a reminder to college students studying abroad that they can vote from their home state while living and studying abroad.

Meanwhile, Irish Americans for Harris-Walz is set to host their "Vote from Abroad Campaign Kickoff Tailgate" at KC Peaches on Nassau Street in Dublin on Saturday, August 24, the same day as the George Tech - Florida State Aer Lingus College Classic Football Game.

Voter help, on-site registration, and Harris-Walz Merch will be available, and light complimentary lite bites will be provided.

Shields said: "We couldn't think of a better kickoff day than one that literally has a football game in the area - I have to think Coach Walz would be proud!"
