Police in Long Island investigating the potential work of a serial killer have begun to use law enforcement websites in a bid to identify unknown victims’ bodies.
Suffolk County police have provided the websites with photos of jewelry which was worn by one victim and a toddler, who is believed to have been her daughter. They have also posted a reconstructive facial sketch of another female victim.
The unidentified remains were discovered along a remote beach parkway in Long Island.
Detective Sgt. Thomas Groneman told Newsday that the law enforcement websites allow him to reach interested readers across the country.
