Police at Ireland’s biggest music festival turned to Twitter this past weekend to appeal for information and issues warnings.

The Kildare based summer music festival was marred with violence over past weekend with police making a total of 90 arrests, according to the Irish Times.

A stabbing incident on Friday night resulted in five teenagers suffering stab wounds. One of the men, a 19-year-old Tyrone man, was treated in hospital after he was stabbed in the neck.

An Garda Siochana (Irish police) issued an appeal via Twitter for witnesses, following the incident.

The tweet read: “Anyone who may have witnessed or may have information to an incident overnight at Oxegen are asked to contact the Gardaí.”

They also warned fans via Twitter about counterfeit wristbands and tickets in circulation.

There were 308 drug seizures, which included 20 arrests for alleged drug seizure.

Out of the 90 arrests, 21 related to public order offences, eight for assaults, and twelve to thefts. There were a total of three arrests for road traffic offences and 15 for alleged drunk driving. Some 1,450 drivers were breath-tested at alcohol check points throughout the weekend.
