One of America's biggest brands, Ralph Lauren, has recruited Wicklow native Alice Delahunt for a major new role.
Delahunt spent her formative career years spearheading social media for another world renowned fashion brand, Burberry.
The Trinity College Dublin graduate will soon take up the newly created role at Ralph Lauren, bringing her expert vision as a digital storyteller to the table.
"We are moving urgently to expand our digital presence all over the world and bringing in the right senior talent to help us deliver," Ralph Lauren CEO Patrice Louvet said.
As Global Director of Digital & Social Marketing at Burberry, Delahunt was responsible for overseeing and integrating social execution of campaigns, collaborations, and forming the digital aesthetic the brand is so admired for.
The Wicklow native has received international acclaim for her inclusion of LGBT+ content on the brand's social channels which are followed by millions.
During her tenure, Burberry became a founding partner of Condé Nast'sTHEM publication, which produces content for an LGBT+ audience.
Delahunt has been honored by the Financial Times, who named her one of the Top 50 Future Leaders.
She previously lived in Sydney, where she briefly dabbled in the music industry, in a marketing position for Universal . She has worked in various social media roles at Burberry since 2011.

Delahunt currently lives in California, but will be relocating to New York for her new position.
It's not often someone brings up high school achievements - but when you consider that Delahunt was a prefect, chairwoman of the student council, champion debater, a winner of multiple academic awards, and held captain positions in hockey and tennis - you know that career excellence was always going to be in her future.
