Jonathan Rhys Meyers seems to be in a good space these days. The Irish actor, who’s battled demons in the past like alcohol abuse, got engaged last year, and his American fiancée Mara Lane is in love with his homeland.

Mara, an actress and producer, posted some pics recently on her Instagram account taken during a trip to JRM’s Cork stomping grounds, where they caught up with a bunch of relatives including his grandma.

"I love my Irish grandma. We love you very much. Thank you for our goodies. #BestGrandma (alongside our one in Vietnam we will visit later this year) and best Aunties Deidre and Mary. Feeling super loved and blessed up. J has the best family,” Mara posted.

JRM is busy these days in Morocco, filming his starring role in Damascus Cover, a flick set in Berlin in 1989 about a spy who is sent to Syria.
