New Galway hurling captain Joe Canning has vowed to put his team’s disappointing 2013 campaign to one side as soon as the new season begins after Christmas.
Speaking for the first time since he was appointed skipper, Canning said, “Hopefully we can just forget about this year now. You are in the game to win an All-Ireland. That is everybody’s motivation, no matter what county jersey you pull on.” . . .
