Laura Dern, Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Florence Pugh, and Timothée Chalamet all set to star in the reboot of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel.
They produced a huge, Oscar-nominated hit the last time they worked together, so it’s no surprise that "Lady Bird’s" Greta Gerwig and Saoirse Ronan are teaming up again.
Gerwig is helming a new adaptation of "Little Women," the classic Louisa May Alcott novel about four sisters and their lives after the Civil War. She also wrote the screenplay and has a constellation of stars working on the project, including Laura Dern, Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Florence Pugh' and another "Lady Bird" alum, Timothée Chalamet.
The cast was pictured filming in Harvard, Massachusetts last week. Ronan plays Jo March, with Watson down as older sister Meg. The other sisters are played by Florence Pugh and Eliza Scanlen.
The film drops on Christmas Day 2019. But we’ll be hearing plenty from Saoirse before that. She stars with Margot Robbie in "Mary Queen of Scots" which opens on December 7.
