A notice on RIP.ie said that the death of Josephine 'Josie' Ray (nee O'Meara) occurred at her home in Nenagh on Sunday.

Josie is predeceased by her husband Paddy and daughter Joan O'Brien and will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Sarah, Frances, Mary, and Carmel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, her great neighbours, relatives, and friends.

A requiem mass was held for Josie at St. Mary of the Rosary Church in Nenagh on Friday morning, followed by burial at Killodeirana Graveyard.

Speaking toward the end of the funeral, Josie's granddaughter Rosie told the congregation: "She was a lady. She loved her style, always in glitter, and loved her jewelry.

"She was some woman for dancing. Anything that was on in town, she would be at it with my mother Sarah.

"Always up for a laugh and a dance.

"She had a great heart. She always said to me, 'Rosie, I'll never forget you for doing that,' just the little things I would do for her ... she really appreciated everything."

Rosie tearfully continued: "She had great time for everyone that knew her. She is a Park legend, and to all who knew her from the Park, they will always remember her and miss her.

"We will all miss you, Josie, you were one of a kind, a true lady. We all love you, always."
