Newly married Michael Fassbender's ex-girlfriend alleges details of harrowing assaults she endured during their relationship.
The German-born Irish actor allegedly subjected his ex-girlfriend Sunawin 'Leasi' Andrews to horrific treatment.
While the reported incidents occurred almost a decade ago, an explosive investigation by The Daily Beast has brought Fassbender's alleged actions into the spotlight.
In 2010, then on the cusp of stardom thanks to a role in "Inglorious Basterds", a TMZ report claims that Fassbender broke Andrews' nose after he threw her over a car following a night of "heavy drinking."
The same article reports that Andrews filed for a restraining order after Fassbender "dragged her alongside their car" causing a twisted ankle, burst ovarian cyst, and injured knee cap.
Andrews, then an aspiring model, also sought $24,000 to cover her medical bills. Fassbender did not comment on the allegations at the time. His parents told The Irish Sun that such behavior was completely out of character, insisting Andrews' claims were "fabricated".
Los Angeles County court filings from March 2010 corroborate Andrews' story, and prove she filed to have the actor stay at least 100 yards away from her and her two children. The "Dante's Cove" actress also requested he enroll in a battery intervention program.
Of the incident, Andrews' victim statement reads, “Michael was drinking and became angry. Michael was driving my car dangerously fast and screaming at me. I begged him to stop the car in fear of an accident or for my children who were home asleep. As we got closer to my house I put my car in stop, got out, walked around the car to pull key from ignition. Michael drove off dragging me along from the car.”
She added, "He picked me up and put me in the car as my friends pulled up behind us. They stayed the night to help calm things."

Andrews documented that she woke, "In a deep sweat and pain with vaginal bleeding. I went to the hospital and had a twisted left ankle, blown out left knee cap and a bursted ovarian cyst. Lots of internal bleeding.”
A second incident documented in her petition refers to an earlier occurrence at a film festival in July 2009. Andrews claimed the "Shame" actor attacked her after a night of heavy drinking.
“He entered the room with a friend at about 5 a.m. drunk and they tried to get into bed with me,” Andrews claimed, adding that she left the hotel room and checked into another one.
When she returned to wake him for a panel discussion he was due to speak at, she found the Kerry native "a mess."
“He was sleeping in urine,” she wrote in her court filing. “I woke him and he began to be violent and threw me over a chair, breaking my nose.”
Andrews, who then lived with the movie star in Bel Air, was granted a temporary restraining order and called for him to be removed from their home which was leased in her name.
Andrews' court petition reads, “Michael is currently shooting films and is to return to the USA in the next weeks. I currently live alone with my two children where this is his only US address. I am still recovering from my injuries and am afraid for my safety. I pay all bills and lived there before him.”
Court records show that the temporary restraining order expired when Andrews withdrew her petition the day before a hearing for a permanent protective order was due to take place. Court papers do not indicate why Andrews canceled her request - but in the media's eye, the decision to halt the process cast doubts over Andrews' allegations.
An article at the time appeared in the Irish Mail, completely denouncing Andrews' credibility and "lurid" allegations.
“Leasi, a model, claimed that the Killarney man attacked her in a drunken rage after a film festival, breaking her nose and causing her to fear for her two young children,” the article reads.
“However the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal that the woman who is threatening the 32-year-old Irishman’s reputation and, indeed, his very livelihood, is herself a woman with a troubled and somewhat seedy past. The model has had a string of lovers including an internet porn baron and a married man; she has children by different fathers, her first as an 18-year-old; and her early years were spent posing for ‘erotic’ lesbian pictures," the article continues.
Victim shaming, the publication went on to state, “Nor was it the only instance of domestic violence in Miss Andrews’s chequered past. Indeed, much of her history seems to suggest that, either she suffers from a persecution complex—or else she genuinely brings out the worst in men.”
Andrews told the Daily Beast that she has never been involved in X-rated work or modeling, only posing for swimsuit and lingerie campaigns.
She also confirmed that in 2005 she obtained a restraining order against her boyfriend Seth Warshavsky, an Internet porn magnate, after he choked and attacked her in front of her then 6-year-old child.
